What Matters. What Works.

Therapy rooted in science, connection, and real-life solutions

Meet Our Clinicians

Our Story

PeaceWorks Counseling & Therapy began with a simple idea:
connection matters, and science-backed methods work.

We built this practice for people who want therapy that feels human and effective — where the relationship is part of the work and growth comes through practice, insight, and real-world application.

Our foundation rests on two commitments:

• connection that builds courage, honesty, and trust
• evidence-based treatment that leads to behavioral and internal change

Warmth and clinical skill work together here to help you meet your goals.

Who We Are

PeaceWorks Counseling & Therapy is a group practice in Madison, CT, offering evidence-based care for anxiety, OCD, trauma, and the challenges that get in the way of living the life you want. Our approach is active, collaborative, and grounded in respect for the nervous system and an understanding that symptoms develop for a reason. We work with clients to build awareness, practice new responses and create meaningful change with support that feels steady and human.

How We Practice

Our work is transdiagnostic. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, we look at underlying patterns such as:

  • Anxiety + uncertainty

  • Rumination + mental loops

  • Perfectionism + pressure

  • Avoidance + accommodation

  • Trauma-based nervous system activation

Treatment may include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Cognitive Therapy

  • Inference-Based CBT

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy

  • and trauma-focused CBT

Modalities are chosen thoughtfully and applied to everyday life.

Insight becomes skills. Skills become capacity. Capacity becomes change.
